Hall Manager is free for one hall or one thing to hire out, such as a minibus, trailer or marquee, with unlimited one-off and recurring bookings for your leader team — no time limit and no card details needed, since most groups only need to manage a single space privately. A paid subscription (£20/yr) unlocks the public booked/free calendar, compliance reminders, the keyholder directory, hall usage fees, the Protect Duty checklist and a second hall or hire item onwards — or £50/yr for all seven tools together. A retired hire item doesn't count. Hiring out Quartermaster equipment needs both Hall Manager and Quartermaster on a paid plan. You can also try everything free for 30 days. The group owner starts it from the group page — all seven tools, no limits, no card, and nothing to cancel: it simply returns to the free plan at the end. One per group, and we'll email you a week before it ends and again two days before, so the date never arrives unannounced. Nothing is deleted when a trial finishes — you keep everything you set up and go back to the free plan's limits. Paid features stop too: a public calendar goes offline, compliance reminders stop and hall usage fees aren't collected, until you subscribe, when they carry on as they were.
