When your District pays for your group

A District can pay for any of its linked groups’ tools, one at a time or all seven together, at the same price the group would pay. It works for any group linked to the District, the same link used for District access in Hall Manager and Quartermaster. A link at Nothing is fine: paying never gives the District any access to your group.

For the District. The District’s owner finds Groups you pay for on the District’s page here in Camp Planner, picks a group and what to pay for, and offers. It’s paid by Direct Debit through GoCardless, once a year. If the District doesn’t pay us by Direct Debit already, it sets one up first.

For the group. The group’s owner is emailed, and sees the offer above Billing on the group’s page. Nothing changes and nothing is collected until they accept. If the group already pays for that tool itself, it keeps the year it has paid for: the District takes over from the group’s renewal date and the group’s own Direct Debit drops to whatever is left, so nobody pays twice. A group paying for all seven as the bundle can only be offered all seven, because paying for one of them wouldn’t save it anything.

When it ends. The District can stop paying at any time, either side can unlink, and if the District’s Direct Debit fails it stops too. Both owners are emailed. The group keeps the tool for at least 30 days, or to the end of the year the District has paid for if that’s later, and can subscribe itself from Billing in the meantime to carry on without a gap. If it doesn’t, it goes back to the free plan. Nothing is deleted.
